   However, Feedwordpress lacks one key feature I want the most which is automatically putting posts from different feeds into different categories. For example, from a news feed into news category and from a comments feed into comment category.

   What I miss the most is that apparently I can’t get both permalinks to the syndicated post on the site, *as well as* permalinks to the original source of the post. There is only one option which replaces the WP permalink title with a permalink to the source. What if you want the permalink to the original source below the post or someplace else. FeedWordPress seems to need a way to customize what’s being posted further, on a per-feed basis. Other than that, it seems much more stable and reliable than WP-o-matic.

   @Morten, that is correct, take a look at the custom fields and you will see a listing for “syndication_permalink” or you can use it in your theme by adding the_syndication_permalink().

   Thanks. I see it However, I’m still not sure exactly where to add it, in order to make the permalink show up in posts. The only place I can think of would be in the skin, but then I’d have to check against if the post was syndicated or not, as I wouldn’t want it for all posts, just the syndicated ones.
